Welcome to Rewinding Melodies! The aim of this tour is for everyone to relive their old memories through beloved music.

Tour Information

For 2026, the tour format will be slightly different! ReMelo will be split into 2, with themes for each half (also known as a 'track').Track 1: Vocaloid (2007-2018)
Track 2: Anime & Games (1990-2018)
For the anime category, here are the suggested subthemes: Romance, Action, Fantasy (these are not compulsory to follow!)No matter your background, if you have a favorite song you'd like to bring back, please join us!

    About the Tour

    Hey there! I'm riyu, your host for this tour!Rewinding Melodies Tour is a new event with the purpose of reviving older songs that are still widely loved by everyone! It is a space specifically created for people to relive their old memories again, through making covers of their favorite songs. But ultimately, the goal is just for everyone to have fun, no judgment here!My aim is to make this a yearly community event where we recreate and share our favorite works from the past, so feel free to join in the nostalgia!

    Track 1

    Tour Period: 1st January - 31st May
    Submission Soft Closes: 31st May

    Track 2

    Tour Period: 1st July - 30th November
    Submission Soft Closes: 30th November

    Tour Rules

    Group Requirements

    • There are no limits as to the number of vocalists & staff per group, but please make sure not to overwork yourself!

    • There are also no limits to the number of groups you can join, but again, do not overwork yourself!

    • If you'd like to join as a soloist, that is fine as well.

    • Artificial vocals are allowed (e.g. Virtual Singers, UTAU, Synth V), but only up to 3 max per cover. There must be at least 1 human vocalist.

    Entry Guidelines

    • No limits to the number of entries each group/soloist can submit!

    • You are welcome to use rearrangements for your covers, but please make sure you have permission from the original creator before use.

    • Covers do not need to be in Japanese, you can use other languages! If using existing translyrics, please ensure you have sought permission and credit the creator properly.

    • If your cover contains sensitive/disturbing matter, please be sure to put a disclaimer/TW accordingly!

    • Please DO NOT use Generative AI.

    Submissions

    • When uploading your video, do use the following format:【#RewindingMelodies26】 Song Name 【Group Name/Own Alias】

    • You are free to make your cover public anytime, even before submission period!

    • All entries will be collated into a playlist at the end of the tour.
